Vision

Orpheus Academy Thessaloniki emerged from a common artistic vision: to create an international hub where musical skill, inspiration, and human connection meet at the highest level.

The Academy grows from the artistic endeavors and global partnerships of the ensemble Orpheus Soloists. This group consists of talented musicians who share a love for chamber music, artistic growth, and educational excellence.

Central to this vision is Dimitris Kitsos. He is an Internationally acclaimed oboe soloist, conductor, artistic director, and founder of various educational and cultural projects in Greece and beyond. As the Principal Oboist of the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki since 1998 and Artistic Director of Orpheus Soloists, his career has involved collaboration with respected artists and institutions in Europe and Asia.

Alongside him is Jung Eun Lee, a celebrated violin soloist, Concertino of Orpheus Soloists, and professor at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. She has built an impressive international career, performing in major concert halls and festivals worldwide while guiding a new generation of award-winning young musicians.

With decades of international performing, teaching, artistic leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration, the founders recognized a growing need for an academy that combines:
